Emily is a native of Natchez, MS, where she attended Cathedral High School, graduating in 2018. Emily graduated from Mississippi State University in 2021 with a degree in Biological Sciences. Emily earned her doctoral degree in Physical Therapy in 2024 from Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University in Baton Rouge, LA, where she was awarded for clinical excellence. After sustaining an injury during high school, Emily noted the impact physical therapy and her therapists had on her recovery. This experience led her to pursue a degree in physical therapy, allowing her the opportunity to give back to others in the same capacity.
Emily gained experience in various clinical settings throughout physical therapy school, including acute hospital care, inpatient rehabilitation, pediatrics, geriatrics, and orthopedics. Emily also participated in a healthy aging course in Porto, Portugal, in 2023, where she learned and compared the global effects of aging. After receiving specialized training, Emily is certified to perform dry needling. Emily is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. When not working, Emily enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She is a member of First Baptist Church Natchez, where she volunteers in the youth department. She enjoys helping with Wednesday night activities and teaching Sunday school.
